The advantages of cooperatives compared to other business entities are as follows.
Basic equality means that each member in the cooperative has the same voting rights;
Unity, meaning that in cooperatives everyone can be accepted as a member, without discrimination, religion, ethnicity, and gender;
Education, meaning that the cooperative educates its members to live simple, not wasteful, and likes to save; Economic democracy, means that service benefits are adjusted to the services of each member based on the profits obtained; and cooperative democracy means that cooperatives are formed by members run by members and the results are for the benefit of members.
Based on these advantages, cooperatives are very well developed sincerely, honestly, and well, as a powerful vehicle for achieving a just and prosperous society. According to Mohammad Hatta Article 33 Paragraph (1) The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia is a pillar of the teacher of the economic system in Indonesia.
