When eating apples, we generally get rid of the skin, especially the seeds. But next time, you don't have to throw away the apple seeds when you want to consume them. Why? Because, the benefits of apple seeds are extraordinary. There are many nutrients contained in it.

Recent research shows that apple seeds contain fiber, flavonoids, and healthy bacteria that are beneficial to health. More properties, found in organic apples.

The study, published in Frontiers in Microbiology, compared ordinary apples to organic apples of the same size. The researchers then analyzed the bacteria found in the calyx of the stem, skin, flesh, seeds, and apples.

In general, the researchers found that organic and conventional apples are breeding grounds for bacteria, most of which are good bacteria. The amount of bacteria in organic and conventional apples is almost the same. The majority of bacteria or more than 100 million bacteria hide in seeds that are wasted.

Although the numbers are the same, the researchers found that the bacteria in organic apples were 40 percent more diverse than the bacteria in conventional apples. This diversity of bacteria is good for intestinal health.

In addition, conventional apples also find parasitic or pathogenic bacteria from the Escherichia-Shigella family which are the masterminds of diarrhea and intestinal diseases. This bacterium is not found in organic apples. Organic apples are found in healthy probiotic bacteria such as Lactobacilli.

Organic apples are also found in Methylobacterium which gives more flavor to the skin and meat than conventional apples. This bacterium enhances the fruit's taste more naturally compared to conventionally grown varieties.

Researchers suggest that buyers choose to consume organic apples, not conventional apples.

"The difference between organic and conventional apples can certainly be attributed to various factors in farming and storage conditions," conclusions from the study, as quoted by CNN.
